Sugarcane Aphids in Northern Kansas

Sorghum growers in southeast Nebraska are encouraged to watch for sugarcane aphids in coming weeks. They have now been confirmed in one field in Marshall County, Kansas, just south of Gage and Pawnee counties in Nebraska. For more information on this pest, which has not previously been reported in Nebraska, please see this 2016 CropWatch article.

The map shown in Figure 1, showing confirmed sugarcane aphids, is regularly updated and available at https://www.myfields.info/pests/sugarcane-aphid, a collaborative effort of Cooperative Extension.
