The following diseases were reported in samples submitted to the UNL Plant and Pest Diagnostic Lab since September 1, 2017.

Soybean

East District – Bacterial blight, bacterial pustule, charcoal rot, frogeye leaf spot, Fusarium wilt, powdery mildew, brown spot, brown stem rot, stem canker, sudden death syndrome (SDS)

Southeast District – Bacterial blight, Fusarium wilt, brown spot

Central District – Bacterial blight, Cercospora leaf blight, tobacco streak virus (TSV)

North District – Brown stem rot

Northeast District – Fusarium wilt, Phyllosticta leaf spot, sudden death syndrome (SDS)

Corn

East District – Common rust, southern rust, gray leaf spot, Curvularia leaf spot, Diplodia leaf streak, Fusarium crown and stalk rot, Goss’s wilt, northern corn leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight, Physoderma brown spot, high plains virus (HPD), wheat streak mosaic virus (WSMV), maize chlorotic mottle virus (MCMV)

Southeast District – Southern rust, common rust, Northern corn leaf blight

Central District – Bacterial leaf streak, common rust, gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf spot, southern corn leaf blight

South District – Maize chlorotic mottle virus (MCMV)

Sorghum

Central District – Bacterial stalk and top rot, sorghum gray leaf spot, sorghum rust

Hops

East District – Downy mildew, Fusarium canker
