Soybean/Corn Disease Update and Field Day Aug. 24 near Auburn

Nebraska Extension will be hosting a Soybean/Corn Disease Update and Field Day Wednesday August 24 in Nemaha County.

The event will start at 6:30 p.m. at the UNL soybean disease research site just east of Auburn at Ryan Beccard’s soybean field. It's just south of the intersection of Highway 136 and Half Breed Road. At this site UNL Extension Soybean Plant Pathologist Loren Giesler will discuss soybean diseases and the research being conducted there. The second stop will be at the 4-H Building on the Nemaha County Fairgrounds where dinner will be served and UNL Corn Plant Pathologist.Tamra Jackson-Ziems will present information on corn diseases.

This field day is free and while registration is not required, the hosts would appreciate that participants preregister by Monday. Aug. 22 for a meal count.
