2015 Chemigation

Chemigation Training Added at Scottsbluff

April 2, 2015

Due to heavy demand, an additional chemigation certification training will be held at Scottsbluff.

The training will be April 22 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Bluestem Room at the UNL Panhandle Research and Extension Center. This is the last training session for those in the Panhandle who want to apply chemicals through an irrigation system during the 2015 growing season. For more information contact Gary Stone, Nebraska extension educator, at the UNL Panhandle REC at 308-632-1319.

Pre-register by April 20 by calling the UNL Panhandle Research and Extension Center at 308-632-1230. Pre-registration ensures enough training materials will be available.

Remaining chemigation trainings scheduled for Nebraska include:

  • April 7, 1 p.m. — Valentine at the Cherry County Extension Office. Contact Nebraska Extension Educator Jay Jenkins at 402-376-1850 for moe information.
  • May 20, 9 a.m. — Norfolk at the Lifelong Learning Center's UNL Classroom.  Contact Nebraska Extension Educator Wayne Ohnesorg at 402-370-4040 for more information.
