For the week ending Jan. 28, 2024, topsoil moisture supplies rated 5% very short, 21% short, 69% adequate and 5% surplus, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 11% very short, 35% short, 52% adequate and 2% surplus.
Field Crops Report:
Winter wheat condition rated 2% very poor, 4% poor, 25% fair, 58% good and 11% excellent.
