North Central Nebraska Women in Ag to Meet Dec. 16

Nebraska Extension in partnership with USDA Farm Service Agency and USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service is offering the Inaugural Annie’s Inspired Program “North Central Nebraska Women in Ag.”  This program has been developed for female agriculture landowners, farmers, ranchers and industry professionals looking to connect with other women in agriculture.  The theme for the 2019 North Central Women in Ag is “Stronger Together.” 

Susan Harris-Broomfield, a Nebraska Extension Educator, will present “Our Stress and Communicating With Those Who Are Stressing.”  She will address how to identify signs of stress in yourself and others and share helpful techniques for coping with and responding to stress. Other presentations include:

  • Farm Service Agency Disaster Programs by Kay Hand, county executive director at the Valentine FSA office;
  • Farm Loan Program Overview by Deb Witte, FSA farm loan manager, and
  • Natural Resource Conservation Service Programs by Christine Lousias, NRCS district conservationist.

North Central Women in Ag will meet Monday December 16 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. CST at the Mid-Plains Community College in Valentine. There is no fee to attend.
