The following diseases were reported in samples submitted to the UNL Plant and Pest Diagnostic Lab from August 29 to September 13.

Soybean

East District – Sudden death syndrome, brown stem rot, frogeye leaf spot, bacterial pustule

Southeast District – Sudden death syndrome, brown stem rot, frogeye leaf spot, brown spot, Anthracnose, charcoal rot

Central District – Sudden death syndrome, charcoal rot, Anthracnose

Northeast District – Brown stem rot, charcoal rot, Anthracnose

Corn

East District – Gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight, northern corn leaf spot, Anthracnose, physoderma brown spot, Goss’s bacterial wilt

South District – Gray leaf spot

Southeast District – Fusarium crown and stalk rot, Gibberella stalk rot, gray leaf spot

Southwest District – Fusarium crown and stalk rot, Bacterial leaf streak, common rust, gray leaf spot

Sorghum

East District – Leaf blight, Anthracnose leaf blight, gray leaf spot, rust
