Free Hops Production Seminar June 30 in Lincoln

The University of Nebraska Department of Agronomy and Horticulture is offering a free informational seminar on the production of hops for hobbyists and those interested in growing this specialty crop for profit.

The seminar will be from 4 to 6 p.m. June 30 in Room 199 Plant Sciences Hall on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's East Campus.

Presented by University researchers, this program will provide background information on hop growth and development, cultivation, and harvesting, as well as discussion on challenges with the production, handling, and marketing of this crop specific to Nebraska.
