McGill (developed as NE01481) is a hard red winter wheat developed cooperatively by the University of Nebraska and the USDA-ARS. It was released primarily for its superior adaptation to rainfed production systems in eastern and southwest Nebraska and for its excellent resistance to wheat soilborne mosaic.

  • Semidwarf with a medium coleoptile length.
  • Moderately early in maturity.
  • Slightly shorter than Millennium.
  • Moderately susceptible to susceptible to stripe rust and moderately resistant to leaf rust.
