USDA NASS: Winter Wheat Harvest 82% Done, Ahead of Average

Nebraska corn condition rated 87% good to excellent, with 82% at silking, well ahead of the five-year average of 68%. Soybean condition rated 85% good to average with 78% blooming, near the average.

Corn silking was 65%, well ahead of 42% last year and 38% for the five-year average. Condition was 86% good to excellent.Soybean blooming was at 65%, ahead of the average of 53%. Condition was 83% good to excellent.

31% of Corn Silking, Well Ahead of Average; Soybean on Average

Corn condition rated 21% excellent, 65% good, 11% fair, 2% poor, and 1% very poor for the week ending July 8, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Corn silking was at 31%, ahead of 13% both last year and for the five-year average.

Corn and soybean condition rated 86% good to excellent in Monday's Nebraska Crop Progress and Condition report from USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service.

Corn condition rated 0% very poor, 2% poor, 12% fair, 67% good, and 19% excellent. Corn silking was at 8%, near last year's 7% and the five-year average of 4%.
