Scattered frost and freeze conditions were reported across the northern Panhandle and western Sandhills region early Tuesday. The coldest morning readings were across the northern third of the Panhandle where temperatures dipped below 30°F, with isolate spots in the mid 20s.

Another cold night is in store for Nebraska as low relative humidity levels at the surface will promote radiational cooling and temperatures dropping into the low 30s. The most likely areas to be affected are the northern half of the Panhandle, the western two-thirds of the Sandhills, and the I-80 corridor west of Lexington. Isolated pockets of frost are possible east of the Sandhills and north of Columbus, especially in low lying areas that are susceptible to cold air drainage.
