Corn conditions rated 0% very poor, 2% poor, 15% fair, 61% good, and 22% excellent, well above last year's 67% good or excellent rating. Corn emerged was 95%, near last year's 96% and the 93% average.

Soybean conditions rated 0% very poor, 1% poor, 18% fair, 70% good, and 11% excellent, well above last year's 64% good or excellent condition. Soybeans planting was 86% complete, behind last year's 97% and the 92% average. Soybeans emergence was 57%, behind last year's 76% and 65% average.

Wheat conditions rated 3% very poor, 10% poor, 30% fair, 48% good, and 9% excellent, well above last year's 21% good or excellent condition. Wheat headed rose to 91% complete, ahead of last year's 84% and 78% average. Wheat turning color was at 3%, behind last year's 14% and 8% average.

Alfalfa conditions rated 3% very poor, 10% poor, 30% fair, 46% good, and 11% excellent, well above last year's 46% good or excellent condition. First cutting was 33% complete, well behind last year's 73% and 53% average.

Hay quality was expected to be lower due to continued wet conditions.

Oat condition rated 1% very poor, 3% poor, 25% fair, 66% good,and 5% excellent, well above last year's 42% good or excellent condition. About 24% of the oats had headed, behind last year's 30% but even with average.

Sorghum planted was 71% complete, behind last year's 82%, but near the 72% average. Sorghum emerged was 38%, behind last year's 43% but ahead of the 35% average.

Dry bean planting was 48% percent complete, behind last year's 58% but ahead of the 40% average. Dry beans emerged were at 4%, behind last year's 13% and 8% average.

Proso millet planted was at 15%, ahead of last year's 8% but behind the 19% average.
