  • Cattle Markets — Mike Briggs, a Seward feedlot manager, discusses trouble in the cattle markets. With record-low inventory, many analysts thought they'd see a new high this summer, but lulls in consumer demand are causing concern.
     
  • Pesticide Container Recycling Program — Started in 1991, the Pesticide Container Recycling Program offers farmers locations to drop off their used pesticide jugs and drums. Clyde Ogg, UNL Extension pesticide safety educator, illustrates how growers can use this program.

  • Nebraska LEAD Class 33 Deadline — More than 900 people have been part of the Nebraska LEAD Program during the last 32 years. Terry Hejny, UNL LEAD program director, discusses program benefits for participants. Applications are due by June 15.
     
  • Weather Forecast — Al Dutcher, UNL Extension state climatologist, recaps April precipitation and looks at extended models.
