Recent Webinar on Value of Grazing Corn Stalks Now Available Online - UNL CropWatch, Oct. 9, 2012

October 9, 2012

If you missed the October 2 UNL Extension webinar, "Cornstalk Grazing — Understanding the Value to Cattle Producers and Corn Farmers," it is now available online at  https://connect.unl.edu/p2fwpnk02gj/

The program explores how corn stalk residue from Nebraska's 10 million corn acres can be used as a valuable feed source for cattle producers.  UNL research has shown that appropriate corn stalk grazing, particularly in irrigated corn, doesn't limit subsequent crop yields.  (See Grazing Corn Stalks in No-till Fields.)
