Gary Zoubek, extension educator in York County, is reading an ETgage in the field. This week ETgages at both Mead and York dropped 1 inch for the week. This compares with 1.45 inches last week and 2 inches the week before. With lower temperatures, increased humidity, and rainfall over the weekend, potential crop water use dropped. |

In the past week, ET gages at York and Mead, Nebraska, indicated that potential crop water use had decreased due to the lower temperatures and increased humidity and rainfall over the weekend. A check of field soil water sensors indicates that soil water is near or above field capacity down to three feet in most fields being monitored.
