UNL CropWatch April 14, 2011: Hailstones from April 9 Norfolk Storms

April 14, 2011

Hailstones up to three inches in diameter fell in the Norfolk area on Saturday evening. Fortunately, there was no significant wind with the hail and damage was limited to skylights in buildings, car windows, and shingles on buildings. For agriculture, this hailstorm came before planting and as such, damage to annual crops was avoided.
