Chemigation Training Continues Online and at Multiple Sites

2013 Chemigation Training Schedule

Multiple training opportunities are available to producers needing to be certified to use chemigation this production season. Chemigation is the practice of applying agrichemicals to cropland using an irrigation system to distribute both the water and chemical.

The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality developed and implemented the regulations and works with UNL Extension to provide training.  Training is available online and at sites across the state. (See list of chemigation training sites, dates, and contact information.) Course materials, information about online certification and online testing sites is available on water.unl.edu under chemigation.  All tests, including for the online course, will be administered at one of 16 testing sites.

Certification expires on January 1, four years after it is issued. For example, certifications issued in 2013 will expire on January 1, 2017.
