Wheat Production and Pest Management Subject of In-Field Clinic

A June 11 UNL Extension in-field clinic will focus on wheat production and pest management, including information on the latest research and techniques specific to wheat production.

UNL Extension's Wheat Production and Pest Management In-Field Clinic begins with 8:30 a.m. registration at the Agricultural Research and Development Center near Mead and starts at 9 a.m. Participants will meet at the August N. Christenson Research and Education Building. Clinic topics will include: variety selection, disease and insect management and wheat management decisions. Presenters will include: Stephen Baenziger, Eugene W. Price Distinguished Professor and UNL wheat breeder; Robert Klein, extension cropping systems specialist; Stephen Wegulo, extension plant pathologist; and Robert Wright, extension entomologist. Early registration reserves a seat and resource materials. Cost for the clinic is $95 for those registering one week in advance and $105 after. CCA credits are pending.
