Corn Nitrogen Rate Calculator Revised

The UNL Corn N Calculator, an Excel spreadsheet application, has recently been revised slightly to reflect price trends in fertilizer and corn. The previous version of the calculator did not allow fertilizer price to exceed $800/ton, or corn price to exceed $5/bushel. Prices now exceed those limits in much of Nebraska. Consequently, the spreadsheet has been updated to allow fertilizer prices up to $1200/ton, and corn prices up to $10/bushel. The current version of the spreadsheet, dated April 1, 2008, can be downloaded from the site soilfertility.unl.edu.
