Farmers Asked To Respond To 2007 Census Of Agriculture

The USDA wants you to stand up and be counted.

Nebraska farmers and ranchers who haven’t yet taken the opportunity to do so, are asked to fill out and send in their 2007 Census of Agriculture form.

The Census of Agriculture, conducted every five years, is the only source of consistent and comprehensive agricultural data for every state and county in the nation. Census information is used by town planners, policy makers, agribusinesses and others in decision-making.

NASS recently mailed a second copy of the Census to those who have yet to respond and said that as spring neared, the office would follow up with additional mailings and phone calls. Producers can return their Census forms by mail or respond online. For more information or assistance with completing the form, call (888) 424-7828 or visit www.agcensus.usda.gov.
