USDA Crop Condition Report

Nebraska wheat conditions improved from last month and rated 2% very poor, 7% poor, 32% fair, 54% good, and 5% excellent. This is well above last year’s condition of 42% good or excellent. Hay and forage supplies rated 9% very short, 34% short, 57% adequate, and 0% surplus, which is below year-ago levels.

Cattle and calf condition rated 1% very poor, 10% poor, 26% fair, 56% good, and 7% excellent, well below year ago levels. Calving has progressed to 28% complete with calf losses reported as 2% below average, 85% average, and 13% above average.
