Market Journal: Importance of Maintaining Seed Drop Tubes

On this week's Market Journal John Smith, Extension agricultural engineer at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center in Scottsbluff, visits with program host Doug Jose about the importance of maintaining planter seed drop tubes to ensure a good seed stand. If they are rough or feel like sandpaper, replace them, Smith advises. Worn seed drop tubes can affect seed depth and placement.
