UNL Wheat Tours Scheduled for June

Learn how new and experimental winter wheat varieties fared under rainfed and irrigated field conditions at this year’s UNL Wheat Tours. The tours will include a discussion on the importance of winter wheat variety selection, seed treatments and how to select winter wheat varieties. The tours will feature the new winter wheat varieties, experimental varieties, plus many of the new varieties presently being grown for comparison and even a couple of colder varieties to measure progress. Agronomy Professor Stephen Baenzinger will be a guest speaker at the Panhandle tours.
