Wheat. Wheat conditions rated 7% very poof, 12% poor, 34% fair, 42% good, and 5% excellent, below last year. Wheat jointed was at 64%, behind 73% last year, but ahead of the five-year average of 58%.
Corn. Planting continued to make strong progress and rose to 67% complete. This is near last year's 68%, but ahead of the five-year average of 60%. Corn emergence was at 13%, ahead of last year at 9% and near the average of 14%.
Soybean. Planting was 9% complete. This is behind last year at 13% and the average of 11%.
Alfalfa. Condition rated 1% very poor, 2% poor, 22% fair, 59% good, and 16% excellent. This rating continues to be above last year.
Oat. Planting inched closer to being completed and rated 97%, behind last year at 98%, but ahead of the average of 95%. Oats emergence was at 80%, behind 86% last year, but ahead of the 76% average.
Sorghum. Planting was underway and rated 2% complete. This is behind 5% last year and an average of 4%.
Sugarbeet. Planting was 89% complete, ahead of last year at 85% and even with the five-year average.
Pasture and Range. Conditions declined and rated 2% very poor, 5% poor, 33% fair, 54% good, and 6% excellent, above last year.
