Vegetative Treatment System meeting this spring

Vegetative Treatment Systems (VTS) are one option for small or medium sized open lot livestock feeding operations to treat their livestock waste. A vegetative treatment system consists of a solids settling basin, an outlet structure, and a vegetative treatment area. UNL extension has partnered with other groups to design and install many vegetative treatment systems throughout the state and will share their experiences and provide further information on this option.
