Programs offer info on using and selling manure

Two extension offices will be hosting meetings on the value of manure to the cropping system and one will also address manure merchandising.

The "Value of Manure to Your Cropping System" class will cover how to integrate manure use into your total fertilizer strategy, planning tools for insuring adequate nutrient availability from manure and fertilizer use for high yield corn.

"Manure Merchandising" is designed to help livestock feeding operations better understand the value of manure and design marketing strategies for selling manure. Speakers also will discuss how operations in the area have successfully marketed manure.
