Market Journal speaker: Adjust cash rents for 2007

A 10-15 percent increase in cash rents may be appropriate for 2007, according to Bruce Johnson, University of Nebraska-Lincoln professor of agricultural economics, who was a guest on the Jan. 5 Market Journal. Johnson spoke with Market Journal host Doug Jose, a UNL Extension agricultural economist, about the factors leading to the recommendation. He also recommended an online Farm Lease Calculator which is available at http://AgEcon.unl.edu.
