The UNL Extension program will cover growth staging, recognizing fertilizer deficiencies, major pest identification, insect economic thresholds, soybean cyst nematode, and weed and disease identification and management.
The program offers in-depth information from university specialists and industry representatives. A total of 5.5 Certified Crop Advisor continuing education credits have been applied for in the areas of pest management, 4, crop management, 1, and fertility/nutrient management, ½.
Presenters include: Mark Bernards, UNL Extension irrigated weed specialist; Dale Flowerday, private industry agronomist; Keith Glewen, UNL extension educator; Tamra Jackson, UNL Extension plant pathologist; Keith Jarvi, UNL Extension entomologist; and Amy Ziems, UNL research technologist. Registration is $70 for those registering one week in advance and $80 for those registered after that time. Fees include lunch, refreshments and workshop materials.
