Great Plains Conference on Improving Crop Water Productivity Aug. 17
At this year’s Great Plains Conference on Improving Crop Water Productivity, participants will learn how to get more production from the water they have, see the results of various practices in the field, and hear from key players and policy makers on water issues affecting Nebraska agriculture today and in the future.
Presented by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln West Central Research and Extension Center, the conference will be held Thursday, Aug. 17, in North Platte. The program will start at the North Platte Community College, South Campus, and move to the UNL West Central Research and Extension Center mid-morning for tours.
The conference is free but participants are asked to register by August 10 so appropriate plans can be made for meals, resources and meeting space. Those registering by the deadline will receive a free CD of the conference proceedings. It is expected that 6.5 CCAs in soil and water will be available. For more information or to register, call (308) 696-6727 or email Linda Lehman at llehmann1@unl.edu
