2006 Nebraska winter wheat field days

Following is the schedule for the 2006 Nebraska winter wheat field days. In some areas, you may want to check with the host extension office close to the tour date to see if there have been any changes, given conditions this year.

June 13, 7 a.m. CDT Furnas County, Arapahoe Methodist Church (breakfast)
June 14, 6 p.m. CDT Red Willow County Fairgrounds Community Building (supper)
June 15, 9 a.m. MDT Chase County, Enders Church of the Brethren
June 15, 7 p.m. CDT Saline County, 3 miles north of Swanton
June 16, 9 a.m. MDT Keith County, Ogallala, Jim Welsh Farm Shop
June 22, 8:30 a.m. MDT High Plains Ag Lab Field Day
Cheyenne County Dryland HPAL Field 11
From Sidney, go 6 miles north on U.S. 385, or from Gurley, go 7 miles south on U.S. 385, 2.5 miles west at Huntsman elevator, 0.5 miles north.
June 22, 3:30 p.m. MDT Cheyenne County Irrigated
From Dalton, take U.S. 385 S about 5.5 miles to Road 56, east 1 mile to CR 115, south 0.25 mile to the site on the east side of the road.
June 22, 6 p.m. MDT Cheyenne County Organic
From Lodgepole, go 2 miles west on U.S. 30, 5.6 miles south on Road 143; the site is on the west side of the road.
June 27, 10:30 a.m. MDT Sheridan County Dryland
On U.S. 20, 1 mile west of Rushville, north 20 miles on NE 87, 2 miles west, 0.3 miles south; site is on the east side of the road.
June 27, 3:30 p.m. MDT Box Butte County Dryland
From Hemingford, take NE 2 south about 5.5 miles to Hall Road, go west 0.25 miles to Road 67, then south 0.1 mile; the site is on the west side of the road.
June 27, 6 p.m. MDT Morrill County Dryland
From Bridgeport, take U.S. 385 north to ANgora, go west to Road 95, north on Road 95, then follow the main road north and west about 6 miles, 0.5 miles west of curve at Road 890 and 126; site is on the southwest corner of the circle.
June 28, 5:30 p.m. MDT Garden County Dryland,
From U.S. 30 on the west edge of Chappell, take Wheatland Dr. 9.8 miles north, site is on the east side of the road. This is about 100 yards south of CR34 x 165.
June 29, 10:30 a.m. MDT Stateline -- Scotts Bluff/Goshen County Dryland
From Lyman, go 9 miles south on Stateline Road, west 0.75 miles; site is on the south side of the road..
From Hawk Springs, WY, go 10.25 miles east; site is on the south side of the road.
