Seed selection . . .

can enhance or negate all other factors in profitable wheat farming. Using Winter Wheat Yield Data to Improve Variety Selection, EC197, provides a method for using the Fall Seed Guide and other resources to compare and select wheat varieties best suited to your operation.

Fall Seed Guide now available

The most recent edition of UNL Extension's Fall Seed Guide (EC103) is now available at local extension offices. This Extension Circular focuses on winter wheat and contains variety test data from the last five years as well as a list of certified crop improvement members who have seed for sale. It also contains information on some of the most advanced experimental winter wheat varieties.

In addition to wheat information, there is also data from the 2006 triticale and winter barley plots and several grass and alfalfa trials from 2005.

UNL variety test data is also available online at the UNL Variety Testing Web site.
