Nebraska Soybean Management Field Days Aug. 15-18

The eighth annual Soybean Management Field Days Aug. 15-18 will offer producers unbiased and research-based information to help improve their soybean profitability.

"Growing America's Future" is the theme of this year's event. Field days will be held at four locations across the state, each with demonstration plots, lunch and time for questions.

Producers will obtain ideas and insight about the challenges they face in producing a quality crop at a profitable price in today's global economy. Topics include: Management for Improving Crop Water Use, Marketing/Management/Government Programs, Managing New and Emerging Disease, Insect and Weed Problems, and Ten Steps to Finding Answers to Your Soybean Production Questions.

Presenters include University of Nebraska-Lincoln specialists, educators and industry consultants.

The field days begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 2:30 p.m. Free registration is available the day of the event. Dates, locations and directions are:

Continuing education credits for the Certified Crop Advisor program will be available.

Those attending also can bring crop-related samples to the UNL Mobile Plant Diagnostic Lab which will be on site at all locations. Agronomists, plant disease, and insect specialists will be available to address production-related questions.
