UNL and state dignitaries will be among the speakers addressing the lab's many contributions to research and extension, particularly in the areas of pasture and cattle production. The program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at GSL’s Wagonhammer Education Center. Morning speakers will include Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman, UNL President James Milliken, UNL Chancelor Harvey Perlman, and UNL faculty: Don Adams, Chuck Hibberd, Jim Goeke, Pat Reece, and Jerry Volesky. In the afternoon field tours and presentations will be conducted. Topics for afternoon tours will include: calving systems; distiller’s grain supplmentation on pasture; Sandhills hydrology and meadow management; cow-calf drought management strategies; and premise I.D.
