Western Nebraska Women in Ag Conference April 4

Western Nebraska Women in Ag Conference April 4

"Visualize what's Important to You" is the theme of the Women in Agriculture Conference April 4 at Sidney. Expert speakers will share humor, knowledge, and helpful advice about farm, home, and health.

The conference is for women who are involved in farm and ranch business decisions, are landowners or want to learn more about farm and ranch management, or who want to broaden their knowledge of agribusiness.  The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 664 Chase Blvd.

Speakers and Topics

Keynote Speaker Kim Wolinski, of Longmont, Colo., is known as Dr. DeClutter. She has a master's degree in social work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, is the author of "Letting Go with All Your Might," and has been a speaker, trainer and priority coach for more than 35 years. Her appearance is sponsored by Farm Credit Services of America.

Wolinski will speak on two topics. In When Life Gives You Lemons, she uses her expertise on change, stress, time management and organizational skills to help audiences re-decide what's not working and jumpstart them on their best visions, dreams and outcomes, big and small, for life and work. In Burn Your House Down!, participants will learn the easy-to-follow keys to organizing anything, how to keep it that way, and laugh about it.

Other presenters and topics include:

Johnson will cover trends in rental rates and land values, the driving forces that have led Nebraska's farmland owners to experience record high prices, and what to expect in 2014.
