Nebraska farmers with drought-damaged corn that can be swathed and baled, chopped, or grazed can list it for sale on the Nebraska Hay and Forage Hotline, a free service of the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. Buyers and sellers can call the hotline at 800-422-6692 to list forage for sale or their need for forage.

Sellers can call to have their name, contact information, and inventory placed on the Sellers List, which is updated regularly. The NDA makes the Sellers List available to buyers by mail or on their website. Buyers are responsible for contacting the sellers directly to negotiate any transactions.

In order to ensure that the list contains accurate, up-to-date information, sellers are encouraged to call the hotline number when they no longer have hay or forage available or if they would like to update their posting.
