Cattle Workshop December 18 at Laird, Colorado

The latest Cattle Management Skill and Information workshop will be held Tuesday, December 18 in Laird in Yuma County, Colorado. The event is being sponsored by the Yuma County Conservation District, Wray, Colorado.

Extension specialists from Colorado State University and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will present information on: 

  • How to influence the plant species in pastures;
  • Winter feed alternatives to corn stalks;
  • Influences of protein on unborn calves;
  • Least cost rations made easier,
  • Using distillers grains, and more!

The workshop will be held at the Laird Community Center in Laird, Colorado. Laird is on Highway 34 near the Colorado/Nebraska state line. The Community Center is on the south side of the highway. Coffee and rolls will be served from 9 to 9: 30 a.m. and presentations will begin at 9:30 a.m.
