Regional Natural Resources Technical Conference February 18-20 At Rapid City

"Conservation, Sustaining Our Future," a technical conference sponsored by the Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS) Northern Plains Chapters will be February 18-20 at the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn, Rapid City, South Dakota.

Join natural resource enthusiasts from Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota to hear the latest on soil quality, water quality trading credits, energy and conservation. The three-day conference will feature 30 presentations on a wide variety of energy and conservation topics.

Presentations include "Dig It," a new Smithsonian Display presentation, given by Dr. Gary Peterson of Colorado State University; soil and water quality and what that means to landowners as well as professionals; AFO/CAFO rule update; carbon credit trading and using visual simulations for communicating conservation just to name a few. A total of 17.5 CEU credits will be available for Certified Crop Advisors and 11 will be available from the Society for Range Management.

Late registration fees are $100 for SWCS members, $110 for non-SWCS members, and $25 for students. (Early registrations were discounted until Feb. 4.)
