Colorado Wheat Field Days in June

Colorado State University is hosting a series of Wheat Field Days in June. Along with tours of each of the variety trial sites, presentations will include:

  • Varieties with Scott Haley; CSU wheat breeder and professor of plant breeding
  • Crop Testing with Jerry Johnson, CSU research scientist, crop production and variety testing
  • The Colorado Wheat Administrative Committee, Colorado Wheat Growers Association, and the Colorado Wheat Research Foundation with Darrell Hanavan, executive director of the Colorado Wheat Administrative Committee, and Glenda Mostek, communications and marketing director of the Colorado Wheat Research Foundation.

  • Burlington, June 9 8:30 a.m. at Randy Wilks Farm, Kit Carson County
  • Genoa, June 9 12 p.m. at Ross Hansen Farm, Lincoln County
  • Roggen, June 9 5 p.m. at Cooksey Farms, Weld County
  • Yuma, June 10 8:00 a.m. at Andrews Brothers Farm, Yuma County
  • Julesburg, June 10 12 p.m. at Jim and David Carlson Farm, Sedgwick County
  • Haxtun, (Irrigated) June 10 4 p.m. at Brian Kipp Farm, Phillips County
  • Akron, June 17 7:30 a.m. at Central Great Plains Research Station, Washington County
