Market Journal: Analyst Takes a Closer Look at USDA Forecast - UNL CropWatch, Sept. 13, 2013

On this week's Market Journal John Meuret, J.E. Meurer Grain Company, analyzes the USDA crop production forecast for 2013. Based on September 1 conditions, the forecast is for record corn yields nationally. Nebraska yields were forecast at 1.61 billion bushels, up 24% from last year. Nebraska soybean yields are forecast at 223 million bushels, up 8% from last year.
