Japanese Beetles First Time in Field Crops Japanese beetles have been confirmed in Nebraska field crops for the first time. More commonly found in the eastern Corn Belt, these beetles can cause defoliation damge to soybeans and corn.
Bacterial Blight Spreading Soybean fields with bacterial blight are evident across the state, but the threat of damage is expected to be limited while high temperatures persist.  See story for scouting and treatment recommendations.
