• Grain Markets — John Sanow, DTN analyst, says that even if we have trend yields this year for corn and soybeans, stocks are going to be tight for both commodities next year.
• AgriDry System — Doug Maier, AgriDry sales representative, will discuss the AgriDry system to monitor condition of stored grain.
• Trade Between Canada and the United States — John Kolk, ag producer from Alberta, Canada, says full traceability of food items and ingredients is going to be imperative in future trade.
• Estate Tax Exemptions – Darren Carlson of Carlson and Burnett, L.L.P., says the estate tax exemption is $5 million per person for 2011 and2012, but could be lowered in 2013.
• Finally Spring? – Al Dutcher, UNL Extension climatologist, says temperatures are finally warming up, with temperatures in the 70s possible by the end of the week.

With higher grain prices, prices for farmland sold this winter have increased dramatically. These economic conditions are putting pressure on cash rental rates. The March 18 Market Journal will look at trends in rental rates, how to set fair rates, and flexible rental arrangements.
