On this week's Market Journal, Tina Barrett, director of the Nebraska Farm Business Association, Inc., shares some tips for tax planning. She says that tax brackets established in 2002 will expire this year and that unless Congress approves a change, the brackets will be higher in 2011.  She suggests increasing this year's taxable income.

• Planning for long-term care — Pamela Epp Olsen, attorney with Cline Wilson Wright Johnson and Oldfather L.L.P., explains the eligibility requirements and financial criteria related to planning for long-term health care.
• Weather Update — Al Dutcher, UNL extension state climatologist tells viewers to keep their snow shovels handy for the next few weeks. Three more storms are expected before spring arrives.

On the next Market Journal (March 19, 2010) — Paul Burgener, UNL extension ag economics research analyst, will analyze the wheat market and Randy Rink, a producer from Pender will discuss how he adopted no-till production and the impact it has had on his 2,000-acre operation.
